Russian Defense Minister to share antiterrorism experience in Chechnya with US

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov has arrived in the United States on a three-day visit during which he will participate in the third international conference on the role of the military in the fight against terrorism. As reported to a Rosbalt correspondent by the Defense Ministry press office, the conference will be held under the aegis of the commission 'Russia-NATO.'

During his visit, Ivanov will also hold talks and meet with American presidential aide Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of State Colin Powell, and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. 'Unfortunately, Russia has a wealth of experience combating terrorism,' he said, 'including the fight with terrorism in the Chechen republic. Our experience may be of interest to our partners.'
