Two Estonian diplomats expelled from Russia

Two employees of the Estonian embassy in Russia have been declared persona non grata. As reported to Rosbalt by the press center of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the temporary plenipotentiary from Estonia, Yuri Aruso, was summoned to the ministry and informed that as the result of activities incompatible with their diplomatic status and harmful to the interests of Russia, two employees of the Estonian embassy have been named non grata, I and given two days to leave the Russian Federation.

Last week, two Russian diplomats were expelled from Estonia. The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and police did not comment on the reason for the expulsions, but according to the Estonian newspaper Eesti Paevaleht, the expelled diplomats were too actively collecting documents related to the expansion of NATO and the European Union.
