Former Yukos chief to remain in custody until March 25

A Moscow court has approved a petition by the Prosecutor General and extended former Yukos chief Mikhail Khodorkovksky's custody until March 25. Khodorkovsky's attorney Henrikh Padva told Rosbalt that the defense intends to appeal the Moscow Basmanny court's decision.

Khodorkovsky is accused of tax evasion and fraud. He was arrested on October 25 at Novosibirsk's Tolmachevo airport and delivered to a Moscow jail, where he has since remained.
