Russia transfers $27.6m in debts to IMF

Russia has paid $27.614m in debts to the International Monetary Fund today, which was equal to 19.486m SDRs, sources in the Russian Finance Ministry told RBC. According to the original schedule, this payment was to be made on a day off. That was why it was made ahead of schedule. The sources noted that it consisted of three parts: $12.995m, $6.315m and EUR7.218m. This was the last payment in September.

On the whole, Russia is to transfer about $2bn (1.559bn SDRs) to the IMF in 2003. About $1.71bn have been paid already. Russia's total payments on foreign debts amount to $17.3bn in 2003, including more than $13.3bn that have been paid already.
