Baltic Shipyard delivers chemical tanker to German company

The Baltic Shipyard has delivered the 5,800-ton Philipp Essberger chemical tanker to German firm Transocean Shipmanagement. The shipyard plans to launch a second chemical tanker for the German company soon. The value of the contract has not been made public. However, the shipyard's press secretary said that tankers of that kind usually cost between USD 12 million and USD 20 million. The tankers were designed by Norwegian firm SRS.
