Russian and German Ministers of Internal Affairs meeting in St. Petersburg

An official meeting of the German and Russian Ministers of Internal Affairs began today in St. Petersburg. The nine-member German delegation is headed by Otto Shily. From the Russian side, Minister of Internal Affairs Boris Grizlov, Northwest Federal District Director of Internal Affairs Andrey Novikov and First Deputy Plenipotentiary in the Northwest Federal District Andrey Chernenko are participating. During the course of the meeting, discussions are planned on the questions of the joint struggle with organized crime including the activity of Russian organized crime groups specializing in prostitution in large cities of Germany. Moreover, questions will also be discussed related to the joint struggle with the theft of auto transport, terrorism and illegal migration. The meeting will be conducted in two parts. In the first part, the entire delegations will take part. In the second part, Shily, Grizlov and Chernenko will take part.
