Kvashnin checked the preparations for large-scale military exercises scheduled for August this year. The exercises will practice the solution of the region's main problems, including poaching, biological terrorism, the protection of oil and gas fields, and measures to cut short international drug trafficking and illegal migration.
After Kamchatka Kvashnin will visit Vladivostok, the largest Russian port on the coast of the Sea of Japan and the base of the Russian Pacific Fleet.
