Russian Security Council Secretary to visit Siberian cities

On May 19-24 Russian Security Council Secretary Vladimir Rushailo will visit a number of Siberian cities as part of preparations for the Security Council session on ensuring national security in the Siberian federal district, RIA Novosti learned from the Security Council's press service.

Rushailo's delegation will include executives of the Security Council's staff, chiefs of some ministries and departments, as well of financial and industrial structures whose activities are connected with the district, the press service pointed out.

During the visit to Novosibirsk, Omsk and Norilsk, the delegation will see the work of the cities' largest enterprises and scientific centers. Its participants will meet heads of constituent members of the Russian Federation, territorial bodies of executive authority and local administrations, and will hold a number of inter-departmental sessions.

The sessions will focus on issues of ensuring security in the military, defence-industrial, social, economic, scientific, technological and other spheres, as well as on problems of fight against crime, the Security Council's spokesman reported.
