Rosneft posts Q1 2003 investments figures

The total amount of investments of Rosneft was more than 6.55bn rubles ($209m) in the first quarter of 2003, which was 245 percent of the corresponding period in 2002, the company's press service reported. This figure includes some 4.4bn rubles ($140.5m) in capital investments. The company invested 3.8bn rubles ($121.4m) in oil production and 164.3m rubles ($5.2m) in oil refining.

Investments in the company's strategic projects exceeded 2.12bn rubles ($67.7m) in the first three months of 2003, which was 223.5 percent of the corresponding period of last year. More than 41 percent of the investments were the holding's own resources.
