Gazprom official on gas reserves

At present undiscovered possible gas reserves are 47.2 trillion cubic meters in Russia, including 26 trillion cubic meters that belong to Gazprom, Vadim Staroselsky, the representative of Gazprom, declared at a conference devoted to investment projects in the fuel and energy sector, which is held in St. Petersburg today. He pointed out that, according to the company's forecasts, Gazprom reserves would grow to 29.7 trillion cubic meters by 2031.

As reported earlier, the volume of gas production in Russia was 575bn cubic meters last year, which was 740m cubic meters higher than in 2001. Gazprom produced 521bn cubic meters last year.
