AvtoVAZ decreases car production in Q1 2003

AvtoVAZ manufactured 136,824 automobiles in the first quarter of 2003, which was 24 percent lower than in the corresponding period of last year, the press service of the largest Russian carmaker reported. Some 20,191 cars were exported in the reported period.

In March 2003 some 60,491 automobiles were produced, which was in line with the plan, including 7,961 automobiles that were exported.
