Gov't approves Russian-Azerbaijani agreement on Caspian Sea

The Russian government has approved the Russian-Azerbaijani agreement on dividing bordering areas of the Caspian Sea bottom and decided to submit it to the President so that he could submit the document to the State Duma for ratification. A corresponding ruling was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov, the department of government information reported. The agreement was signed in Moscow on September 23, 2002.
