Uralsvyazinform posts 2002 financial results

Net income of Uralsvyazinform, calculated in accordance with the Russian accounting standards, grew by 52.6 percent to 924.3m rubles ($29.5m) last year, the press service of the company reported. Revenue amounted to 14.8bn rubles ($473m) in 2002, which was a 39 percent growth compared to 2001, including revenues from telecommunications that went up by 36.7 percent to 13.5bn rubles ($431m). Sales income was 3.9bn rubles ($124m), which was a 92.8 percent gain.
