Moldova ratifies agreement on nuclear fuel transit

The parliament of Moldavia has ratified a quadrilateral government agreement between Russia, Bulgaria, Moldavia and Ukraine on the transit of nuclear fuel and spent nuclear fuel as of November 28, 1997. The agreement stipulates the transportation of nuclear fuel from Russia to Bulgaria and spent nuclear fuel from Bulgaria to Russia. It envisages special security measures for the transportation of nuclear cargo.
