Gazprom to submit draft of its 2003 budget to government before August 1

The draft of Gazprom's budget for 2003 will be submitted for consideration to the Russian government in strict accordance with the schedule before August 1, 2002. According to the press service of the Russian gas holding, this decision was made at a meeting of the company's Executive Board today. The variants of Gazprom's budget for 2003 were considered at this meeting and the steps aimed at reducing the company's costs were chalked out. As it was reported earlier, on March 1, 2002 Gazprom's Executive Board approved a deficit-free budget for 2002.
