Russian President signs Code of Arbitration Practice and Law on Courts on Arbitration

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the Code of Arbitration Practice of the Russian Federation, which was adopted by the State Duma /the lower chamber of the Russian legislature/ on June 14th, 2002 and approved by the Federation Council /the upper chamber/ on July 10th, 2002.

Vladimir Putin also signed the Federal Law on Courts of Arbitration in the Russian Federation adopted by the State Duma on June 21st, 2002 and approved by the Federation Council on July 10th, 2002.

According to Dmitry Kozak, a Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, the new code and law will "contribute greatly to the creation of an advantageous investment climate in Russia."
