Urals cooperates with Piemont

The Ural region of Sverdlovsk has signed a cooperation agreement with the Italian province of Piemont.

On behalf of the Sverdlovsk regional administration the document was signed by first vice-premier Veniamin Golubitsky, and of the Piemont government by first vice-governor Gilberto Picchetto Franti, the information office of the Sverdlovsk regional governor reported on Tuesday.

Cooperation priorities are metals, engineering, construction, light and wood-working industries, farming, communal services, and banking.

Before long a joint working group to implement the deal will be formed.

Franti said at a signing ceremony that the common objective of the Russian and Italian regions is "direct trade and cooperation, as well as joint ventures in different branches of the economy".
