Tests Completed on First 56 Kilometers of Russian Section of Russia-Turkey Gas Pipeline

Experts from Stroitransgaz have completed stress tests on the first 56 kilometers of the Russian section of the Russia-Turkey gas pipeline (known as the Blue Stream) in the Stavropol Region. According to experts from the German Association for Technical Inspection, who took part in the technical part of the tests, the tests were successful and all necessary criteria were adhered to.

At the moment this section of the pipeline is being emptied of water, after which it will be dried and filled with gas. At the same time, Stroitransgaz has begun carrying out stress tests on the next section of the pipeline (56-307 kilometers), which are planned to be completed in the middle of September. The decision to carry out stress tests was taken by Gazprom, which has ordered the pipeline.
