AvtoVAZ to increase car prices due to higher milling costs

An increase in prices for Russian metal milling will prompt a 10 percent rise in car prices, Pavel Skrinsky, Vice President of AvtoVAZ, a Russian car maker, said. The car maker's Vice President was quoted as saying that a rise in costs of the company's cars will be due not only to the more expensive direct milling supplies to AvtoVAZ. The price growth will also be caused by higher prices for spare parts, since 90 percent of AvtoVAZ's suppliers buy metal from the same metal plants. With a view to this double increase, the prices for the company's cars may grow 10 percent, the press service of AvtoVAZ reported.
