As Emma Pamfilova told journalists after the end of her Kremlin meeting with Vladimir Putin, she deems helping people "uphold their rights in a civilised way and protecting them from any arbitrariness on the part of officials and other persons" to be her task on the post of the chairwoman of the Human Rights Commission under the president.

According to her, "public organisations, specifically in regions, which are engaged in defending human rights and have vast experience in this field' will be drawn into this work.
