LUKoil Still In INA Industrija Nafte Race

Russia's Lukoil, Hungary's Mol and Austria's OMV are among six bidders still in the race to buy a minority stake in Croatia's oil and gas monopoly INA Industrija nafte d.d., The Hungarian daily Magyar Hirlap has reported.

Greece's Hellenic Petroleum and Italy's Edison are also among the remaining bidders, the paper said, citing news agency MTI, which did not name sources.

The Croatian government last month named ten companies that signaled they were interested in buying a quarter stake in INA. Croatia said at the time that it would shortlist bidders in early July.

Lukoil, Russia's largest oil producer, is bidding with the Latsis Group, which owns Petrola, Greece's second biggest refiner. The two companies are also cooperating on a bid to buy a minority stake in Hellenic Petroleum. ©
