Vladimir Putin finds it inadmissible to stir up national and religious hatred in Russia

Vladimir Putin finds it inadmissible to stir up national and religious hatred in Russia, the Russian head of state announced at a press conference in the Kremlin on Monday.

Putin gives priority to "making conditions so that a representative of any nation, even the smallest one, could feel at ease and say: this is my house, my house is my castle." According to the president, it is necessary for Russia to do away with national swagger, great-power chauvinism". To stir up national and confessional hatred means extreme danger in such a country as Russia, the president added.

"Stirring up the hatred, even with good intentions, is absolutely inadmissible," the Russian president pointed out. "If the country takes this slippery road, it will lose its balance," he underlined.

The press conference with the Russian leader lasted for more than two hours. He answered 36 questions asked by Russian and foreign journalists.
