Fidel accuses America of “Nazi methods”

The Cuban President Fidel Castro has accused the USA of being a country with a large number of “war fanatics” and of using “Nazit methods and concepts” around the world after 11th September.

Fidel Castro was speaking at a rally which was attended by 500,000 people in Santiago de Cuba on Saturday. He called on the American people to restrain the war fanatics in the US administration and to choose a path other than that of war.

He further accused the USA of bullying the world with “Nazi methods and concepts” of behaviour and pointed out that “it is not by chance that in several European countries, the fascist right is on the rise”.

“It is not for me to exaggerate or to dramatise. It is very true that the existence and the role of the United Nations Organisation are being more and more questioned and ignored”. He added that the attacks on September 11th benefited the anti-Castro forces in Miami, George Bush, the US military-industrial machine and those who wish to destroy the UNO although he declared that “Not for a second does it cross «my mind that anyone deliberately, however thirsty he was for popularity, power or anything else, would deliberately allow the horrible crime of the Twin Towers, if he had it in his power to stop it”.
