Russian government to consider budget parameters for 2003 on June 13, 2002

On June 13, 2002, the Russian government will consider budget parameters for 2003 and the medium-term plan of activities in the economic sphere till 2005. Russian vice-premier and finance minister Alexei Kudrin made this statement to journalists Thursday.

He reminded those present that before submitting the draft budget to the government, the coordination of a number of issues concerning the future budget with separate ministries and departments is needed.

The terms of government consideration of the 2003-budget parameters are also connected with the need of amending the 2002 budget as a result of increased wages of public servants. The respective proposals have been already compiled and will be considered by the government on June 6, Kudrin said.
