Within the next two weeks a draft of the decree about establishing wholesale energy generating companies will be submitted to the Russian government, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Viktor Khristenko said to journalists. He pointed out that the document envisaged the creation of 10 wholesale energy generating companies, which will be "divided according to the type of energy generation". Six of them will be established on the basis of steam power plants, and three - on the basis of the hydro-electric plants, while one of the companies will be a specialized station. When establishing the companies using steam power plants, different criteria will be taken into account that will provide equal starting conditions for all these companies, Khristenko said.
