RIA Novosti was informed by the Russian Emergencies Ministry that rescuers reached the site of the MI-8 helicopter crash and discovered dead bodies of 11 crew members and passengers. According to the Emergencies Ministry's information, three crew members and 8 passengers were on board the helicopter which crashed in the Altai region. According to the preliminary information, young snowboard skaters were the passengers of the helicopter. Debris of the MI-8 helicopter which failed to establish communications on Tuesday morning were discovered by aircraft 20 km from the settlement of Kurai. Rescuers managed to land three kilometres from the helicopter crash site. It took them several hours to get to the accident location because of the difficult terrain. Rescue operation will be resumed at dawn.
