All necessary measures have been taken in Russia to prevent acts of sabotage and terrorism on Victory Day, the top executives of the Russian Ministry of the Interior stated. According to First Deputy Minister Vladimir Vasilyev, militiamen are carrying out preventive activities all across the country on the eve of the holiday. In addition, the top executives of the Ministry are monitoring the activities of the chiefs of local departments of this agency and Ministers of the Interior of the Federation constituent members, aimed at ensuring security on the holiday. Special details of militia which "will be localised wherever it is necessary" in case of extraordinary situations have been prepared in all Russian regions, the Deputy Minister emphasized.
