Terrorist attack on virology research centre prevented

A serious terrorist attack is reported to have been prevented near Novosibirsk, one of the largest Siberian cities. Yesterday, sappers defused a bomb planted in Koltsovo village in the Novosibirsk Region where the world known Virology Research Institute was situated. Strains of most detrimental viruses and bacteria are stored there. The bomb would hardly do much damage, experts say. Rather, an act of intimidation was meant here. Criminal investigations have started in connection with the incident.
