Over 20 Russian Enterprises Will Take Part In The Naval Show In Singapore

Over 20 Russian defence industry enterprises will take part in the 3rd international naval show IMDEX-ASIA 2001, which is due to be held in Singapore from May 8 to 11. According to the data of the Russian foreign trade company Rosoboronexport, they will demonstrate about 100 various items. The main purpose of Russian enterprises' participation in the Singapore show is to "widely demonstrate products of the Russian military-industrial complex and its latest achievements, as well as promote Russian weapons in the countries of the Asia-Pacific region", said the company's spokesman to RIA Novosti. In his words, the new submarines Amur-1650 and Amur-950, "which have better manoeuvrability in shallow waters", will occupy the central place in the Russian exposition. All in all, over 200 companies from nearly 20 countries will take part in the show.
