Schizophrenic blows up a police office

Alexander Biriukov, a member of radical organisation “New revolutionary alternative”, accused of preparation and execution of a blast near FSB (Federal Security Service) 1999, April 4, stood trial in Moscow. The court brought in a verdict of guilty, however the criminal was sent to a mental hospital because of the psychiatrist’s conclusion. The medical examination was carried out in the course of the preliminary investigation. The experts concluded that he was irresponsible because of “paranoiac schizophrenia”.
