Chechen terrorist plan attacks over Easter

Chechen separatists are planning to conduct terrorist attacks over Easter. It was announced in the Interior Ministry headquarters in the North Caucasus that bandits were attempting transfer weapons and ammunition into Grozny, where they are intending to launch terrorist attacks on Sunday. Terrorist commander Arbi Barayev has sent a group under the leadership of Islam Chilayev for this purpose. The federal forces command has obtained information that suggests Barayev's bandits are planning to conduct a series of terrorist attacks in major Chechen towns and against the Kavkaz check-point. Measures are being taken to prevent these attacks from being realised. Accordingly, the United Groups of Forces in the North Caucasus tightened security on Friday. Terrorists disguised as peaceful civilians are still managing to arrive in Grozny in order to disrupt the Chechen government's move to the republic's capital from Gudermes. Militant leaders have issued orders to their men to study approaches to government buildings and their internal situation in order to lay mines and high-explosive devices.
