Irkutsk cops caught in drug trading

2 policemen in the Siberian Irkutsk Region are being suspected of selling drugs. The officers, who have been working at the local police department for fighting illegal drug trafficking, are reported to have been caught with the goods, trying to push heroin. Over 800g of heroin has allegedly been found at one of the detainee’s home. The seized drugs are yet to pass an expert examination – the heroin is suspected to have been heavily diluted by some white powder to increase its weight. All in all, over 3kg of heroin has been seized by police in this south-Siberian region for the last few days. PRAVDA.RU has repeatedly told the readers of an unfavourable situation unfolding in region, including the AIDS epidemic. Now, the routes of drug trafficking are becoming more clear. If police officers specializing in fighting this kind of crime start to fiddle with drugs, it is no wonder that drug smuggling and drug addiction is so popular in the region.
