RUSSIAN FOREIGN MINISTER TO MEET HIS US COUNTERPART

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov spoke to U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell on the telephone on Tuesday. "In the course of a detailed conversation, held in a warm, constructive atmosphere, principal issues of Russian-U.S. relations and their further development were raised," the Russian Foreign Ministry told the Interfax news agency adding that "the significance of interaction between our two countries for international security and stability was particularly focused upon." Messrs. Ivanov and Powell agreed "to meet soon for a concrete exchange of opinions on the whole range of Russian-U.S. cooperation."
