Putin’s Rate Grows by leaps and bounds

According to the pole, conducted by experts of the All-Russian Centre of the Study of Public Opinion, the Russian President Vladimir Putin’s rate is extremely high now: 76% of Russians approve his activity. A month ago 68 % did it. 18% disapprove it now as opposed to 23% in December 2000. It is important to note that the Russian leader’s rate is at its highest point now since he took up his presidential duties, Interfax announces. Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov’s rate went up as well: 47% respondents approve his activity. 43% approved it in December (31% and 34% correspondingly disapprove it). As regards the government in general, these indices are 43% and 38% (44% and 48%), the State Duma of Russia – 27% and 22% (57% and 61%), the Federation Council – 30% and 24% (46% and 42%).
