Belarussian President will do his best to defend Pavel Borodin

Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko has said he intends to defend State Secretary of the Russian- Belarussian Union Pavel Borodin, who was recently detained in the U.S. at an arrest warrant issued by Swiss prosecutors. "I, as the chairman of the Supreme State Council of the Russian- Belarussian Union, am obliged to defend this man," Lukashenko said upon his arrival at Moscow's Vnukovo-2 airport on Tuesday. "We are ready for any steps," Interfax news agency cites Lukashenko as saying. Lukashenko added that “USA pretend that they protect Russian funds, whereas they are responsible for outflow of trillion dollars from Russia.”
