FOOTBALL: UNITED KINGDOM GETS FIRST FOREIGN MANAGER

The Swede Sven Goran Eriksson has started his new job as the sixth England manager in eleven years, the first non-Englishman in the Football Association’s history. He resigned as Lazio manager to take up the new job in London and to start preparing his first objective: “The first objective is to reach the world cup finals and then the second objective will be to win. Why not?” He states that his squads will be a mixture of youth and experience and that one player has a captive place: David Beckham.
