Sad news is coming from Chechnya. The information of Kenneth Gluck escaping from captivity has failed to be confirmed. So, the American is still being held by unidentified gunmen, his whereabouts being unknown. On top of that, it has become known that Mr. Gluck suffers from sever asthma, and he may not survive the disease’s paroxysm without qualified medical aid. In the meantime, workers of the international humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders, both Russian and foreign, have left the breakaway republic and moved to Ingushetia – the decision taken because of Mr. Gluck’s kidnapping. Currently, the members of Doctors Without Borders are considering suspending its activities in Chechnya ''for an indeterminate period.''
"There should be no Russian who goes to sleep without wondering if they're going to get their throat slit in the middle of the night,” Milley said
