Nikolai Melnichenko, a security officer, contends he has. Mr. Melnichenko who is currently in hiding abroad, has said on the Radio Freedom that he passed in November to Aleksandr Moroz, leader of Ukraine’s Socialist Party, tapes allegedly containing the president’s instructions. The instructions are said to have been delivered to one of the governors. The governors were supposed to prepare a respective letter saying the were discontented with Premier Yushchenko’s style. A similar instructions have been given to the ministers, Mr. Melnichenko maintains. President Kuchma, according to Mr. Melnichenko, has also demanded that Vitali Boiko, chairman of the supreme court, be driven away.
