Putin to sign anthem lyrics decree December 31st

A decree on the lyrics for Russia’s new anthem may be signed before December 31st, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin said at a news conference in the city of Vladimir. The president also said that the question “should be decided in the legislative order,” according to RIA Novosti. Until is “it has not passed through legislature, this gap can only be filled by a presidential decree,” the president added.
