Russian foreign minister Igor Ivanov negotiated with his Moldavian counterpart Nikolaye Chernomaz on Tuesday. "Russia speaks for a political settlement of the Pridnestrovye problem," Russian official said. He also stressed that both the Russian and Moldavian governments were interested in the settlement of the problem, Ria-Novosti reports. Ivanov noted that the Pridnestrovye crisis was certainly an internal problem of Moldova, but Russia would do its best to contribute to its settlement
