10,000 BECOME VICTIMS OF UN SANCTIONS IN IRAQ

Iraqi Ministry of Health has publicized statistics according to which 10,000 people died in Iraq from malnutrition and diseases caused by UN sanctions for the past year alone. At that, pneumonia, diarrhoea, diabetes, cancer, and coronary disorders proved most widespread diseases. ABC news, citing Iraqi officials, says that given drug deficiency and malnutrition, physicians cannot fight the diseases which take on the scale of an epidemic.
