Putin talks to Chirac
Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with French President Jacques Chirac today. The Presidents discussed the prospects for cooperation between Russia and the European Union, taking into account the results of the latest EU summit in Nice. Some bilateral problems, including Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov's coming visit to Paris, were also touched upon, the Press Service of the President of Russia reports, cited by news agencies.
