Maria Andreyeva, resident of Chelyabinsk, has been included in the top list of 100 outstanding women of the world. Unfortunatly, she will hardly receive a respective certificate because she has no money to pay for it. Dr. Andreyeva heads the Geographical Laboratory at the Chelyabinsk Pedagogical University. She is an associate member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, a honorary member of the Russian Geographic Society. Now, her name has been entered into the international reference book Who Is Who – the new came from the International Council of the US Biographical Institute. Dr. Andreyeva is author of nearly 180 publications in geography, hydrology, and the environmental science of the Urals. However, this good new has put the scientist into predicament. The point is that she has to transfer $200 to get the respective diploma. But she has not such an amount available, Vyorsty news agency reports.
