Georgia admits that Chechen militants are receiving medical treatment in its territory

Russia’s announcement that visas are required of Georgians passing the border sobered up Shevarnadze. Russia started talking about visas after the information that Chechen rebels leaders had taken shelter in Georgia was made public. Somehow or other Georgia authorities decided to admit it at last. Today general prosecutors of the republic produced to Russian general prosecutors a list of 25 names of militants who are receiving medical treatment at a Tbilisi hospital, Itar-Tass reports.
