We keep on following the situation around the election of the Komi-Perm Autonomous Region’s head. Yesterday, Pravda.ru published a letter written by one of the candidates, Leonid Rassada, in which he tells about pressure applied on him by people calling themselves advisors to Russia’s President Vladimir Putin. Our correspondent has learned that since the first visit by a “presidential advisor” to Mr. Rassada’s apartment on November 21st, there have been two more visits by unidentified guys. Mr. Rassada’s wife and child were there at the time of the latter visits, while he himself was absent. The visits of “well-wishers” look very remarkable considering veiled threats against the candidate of his family members stated in he course of the first visit. So, Mr. Rassada has made up his mind to leave the city. Pravda.ru will keep on following the development.
