ANOTHER EARTHQUAKE IN TAIWAN. THIS TIME MODERATE

A moderate earthquake shook central Taiwan on Wednesday, seismologists said. No damage or injuries were immediately reported. The 4.6-magnitude tremor was centered nine miles east of Nantou County, the Central Weather Bureau said. Nantou is about 124 miles south of the capital, Taipei. Thousands of aftershocks and small tremors have rattled the island since a 7.6-magnitude quake killed about 2,400 people last year in central Taiwan. Crisscrossed by 51 fault lines, Taiwan is rocked by scores of earthquakes each year, most of them harmless, AP reports.
