FAILED ATTEMPT OF AIR DEFENCE EQUIPMENT SMUGGLING FROM UKRAINE TO RUSSIA

The Kharkiv Division of the Ukrainian Security Service has prevented illegal export to Russia of a tower device used in fire control systems in the Ukrainian Air Defence, IMA-press reports. The device was transported in an automobile en route from Italy to Russia and stopped at the Hoptiwka Customs. Earlier, a device used in starting helicopters was seized from a conductor of a Berdyansk-Moscow train at the Kazakhya Lopan Customs. Criminal proceeding have been launched for both cases.
