REPUBLICANS THREATEN WITH BALLOT RECOUNT IN MORE STATES

Dan Evans, Republican George W. Bush’s chief campaigner has accused Democrat Albert Gore’s campaigners of attempting to “politicize” the situation around a ballot recount in Florida. Speaking at a news conference in Austin, Texas, Mr. Evans said that the ballot recount would be finished soon, and the new data would reaffirm Mr. Bush’s victory in Florida and in the US, Reuters reports. Mr. Evans made it clear that a minimal margin still existed in, at least, four American states where counting was still in progress. So, ballot recounting in those states cannot be rules out, either.
