Chechen Rebels Fire On Militia Car

Chechen rebels fired on two militia cars from a cover, killing two militiamen and wounding other two on Sunday night, Itar-Tass news agency reported. The incident happened in the village of Urus-Martan, Chechnya. The rebels opened the fire from the top of an abandoned house. The first car managed to escape but the second one fell into the ambush. Russian federals began an intensive search of the territory. According to Urus-Martan administration head Shirvani Yasaev, Chechen rebels killed the other day a local resident in the village of Goity, suspecting him of cooperating with Russian federal forces. He was shot dead from the same pistol, which was used to kill 70-years-old Magomet Sambiev, an Elder of this village. The killer has not been found so far.
