The Russian military command examines the capability of Russia's strategic nuclear rocket forces

The Russian military command will run a thorough examination regarding the combat capability of Russia's strategic nuclear rocket forces. Army General Vladimir Yakovlev confirmed that several scenarios of development were being currently considered. They are ranging from the proposals to preserve the current nuclear arsenal to the establishment of non-nuclear rocket forces. The commander of Russia's strategic rocket forces said that the military were thrashing out the possibility to hit enemy's strategic missiles with high-precision long-range weapons, RBC reports. They are also planning to destroy missiles with high survivability by disabling their primary components such as their power supply, guidance system, etc. The role of anti-aircraft and anti-missile forces will grow in such circumstances.
